Students - if you have an after school activity, please go directly to that activity.  If you go outside the building, you must re-enter through the front office as all other doors will be locked.


Attention sophomores: There will be a Sophomore Class meeting today, immediately after school in Mrs. Tucker's room, room 524.  All sophomores are invited to attend.  We will be discussing plans for Homecoming Week.


HOSA will meet on Tuesday, September 7th in Mrs. Dunning's room N-32 in the two story building, at 2:25.  All current members please attend and new members are welcome.  The next meetings are Sept 14th and 21st. Same place and time.


All interested high school students that want to participate in the most active community service organization that is totally student lead should attend the Key Club meeting on September 7th at 2:20 in Mrs. Baird’s room, #534.  Bring your ideas, energy and a desire to serve others!  Key Club members are reminded to sign up for Teacher Appreciation breakfast to be held on September 10th.  Please stop by room 534 to sign up.


Returning NHS members will meet on September 8th in Room 534 at 2:20.  Please plan to attend.


National Honor Society applications are now available.  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors with a GPA of 3.5 may apply for membership.  Returning NHS members will meet on September 8th in Room 534 at 2:20.  Please pay your dues of $10.00 at the cashier’s window.


Attention all students but especially JUNIORS and SENIORS: The Putnam County College Night is going to be held Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30.  We will be hosting over 50 colleges and Universities so come prepared to ask questions. Mark your calendars NOW to make this event! Again, it will be Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30 pm. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!!


The swim Team is looking for hard working, dedicated swimmers to join the varsity swim team.  If interested please contact Coach Roberts between 3-5pm at the ARC pool. You must have a current physical and parent permission in order to participate.


Attention all seniors: The University of Florida Admission representative will be at PHS to meet with all prospective students to answer all your questions about the application process. You need to come to guidance to sign up and receive a pass to meet with the college representative. The University of Florida will be here on Thursday, September 9th at 1:15.


High School High Tech will meet in the Media Center after school on Thursday, September 9th.


Attention all seniors: The University of CENTRAL FLORIDA Admission representative will be at PHS to meet with all prospective students to answer all your questions about the application process. You need to come to guidance to sign up and receive a pass to meet with the college representative. The UCF will be here on Friday, September 10th at 9:30.


Junior class officers and others interested in helping with junior class projects are invited to attend an organizational meeting on Friday, September 10th at 2:20 in room 534.  Please plan to attend.  Fundraisers, homecoming and prom will be among the items discussed.


Seniors: If you did not get your senior portraits taken over the summer, there is one last chance! On September 15, the last chance senior portraits for the yearbook will be taken. Please sign up for an appointment time outside Mrs. Walther's classroom on the dean's office hallway. Last chance senior portraits will be taken September 15.


Cross Country runners: You must have your parent consent and physical turned in to Mrs. Walther before you are allowed to practice with the team. Please come by Mrs. Walther's room before or after school to pick up the paperwork for cross country.


The wrestling team is looking for dedicated athletes to be on the 2010-2011 Panther Wrestling Team.  If you are interested please see Coach Polite for more information.


Night School/Grade Forgiveness meets in room 131 at 2:20, Monday thru Thursday.  See your guidance counselor for the proper paperwork to get signed up. 


Attention all seniors: If you play at least one varsity sports and you are a leader in your school and community, please apply for the Heisman Award. There are posters around the school giving the website to apply. Be sure to do this because the deadline is approaching fast.
