About PHS

Palatka High School, located in Putnam County, serves the Palatka and East Palatka areas. Our current student enrollment is about 1,500, drawing students from Beasley Middle School and Jenkins Middle School.
Students attend classes 6 periods day, taking a wide variety of courses, including dual enrollment courses at SJRCC. PHS offers Honors and AP courses and a variety of elective classes including Art, Desktop Publishing, Musical Theatre and Journalism.
Our athletic program is highly competitive and we pride ourselves on outstanding sportsmanship. Our school colors are Blue and Yellow and our school Mascot is the Florida Panther.
PHS opened its doors in 1977 after merging two existing schools - Palatka Central and Palatka South. The campus has recently completed several renovation projects with new classrooms, science labs, performing arts area and office areas.

Our Palatka High

Guarded by the River’s
bending, flowing ever free
Just as we at childhood’s ending, flow now forth from thee, Sing for thee Palatka High, raise your voices to the sky, Ever fondly we’ll remember
Our Palatka High!
