Johnson Scholarship Foundation
Deadline: 5/15/10

The Johnson Scholarship Foundation is offtering scholarship aid to two different froups of students to attend college in Florida starting Fall 2010. Group #1-the children of UPS emplyees or retirees who live in Florida. Application deadline is April 15, 2010. Group#2-students with disabilities who will attend one of the eleven state universities in Florida. Application deadline: May 15, 2010. Download these applications from their websiste at www.jsf.bz.

FSU Triangle Achievement Scholarships

The Lambda Iota Chapter of the Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity is announcing it's Triangle Achievement Scholarship Awards. To apply for these scholarships you must be a male senior planning to attend Florida State University in the fall of 2010 academic success, extracurricular involvement and excellence in athletics. Applications are available in the guidance department. Deadline to apply is June 1, 2010.

Emma Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media Internship/Scholarship

Emma Bowen Foundation is offering a 5 year internship/scholarship program for minority students with an interest in the media industry (business, technical, creative, or journalism). Must have a 3.0 gpa and plan to attend a 4 year college or university on a full-time basis. Students will earn an hourly salary for hours worked as well as matching scholarship funs to use toward educational expenses. City Year Program

City year is a non-profit AmeriCorps program that unites young people of diverse backgrounds, ages 17-24, for 10 months of full-time service. As tutors, mentors and role models, these young leaders make a difference in the lives of children and transforms schools and neighborhoods in 19 locations across the country. To join City Year, applicants must be a US citizen or permanent resident, have served no more than two years in another AmeriCorps program, and meet education requirements. Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies

The APAICS serves as a political pipeline to provide the next generation of Asian Pacific
American leaders and policymakers with the experience and resources to succeed in public service careers. With support form Comcast, APAICS offers an annual Summer Internship program that provides select undergraduate students with the opportunity to work in Washington, D.C., and gain first-hand experience in American politics and public policy. Interns are placed in congressional offices, federal agencies or non-profit organizations and participate in weekly leadership workshops and career development events.
